
Tabarca Extends Refinery Turnarounds Contract in Barrancabermeja and Cartagena Until August 2027
Magnex, a Latin American leader in maintenance and turnaround services, congratulates its Tabarca Joint Venture and partners on securing an extension of their contract with Ecopetrol for maintenance, turnarounds, and operations at the Cartagena and Barrancabermeja refineries through August 2027.
Over the past six years, Tabarca Joint Venture has consistently demonstrated operational excellence, upholding the highest standards of safety, integrity, and stakeholder engagement, supported by strong and reliable performance across both refineries. During this period, Tabarca has successfully executed 44 plant turnarounds, totaling more than 12 million man-hours worked. Its operations have also generated a positive regional impact, creating approximately 17,000 local jobs and business opportunities for more than 600 local suppliers, from nearby communities.
With this contract extension, Magnex continues to build a legacy of sustainable prosperity, reinforcing its role as a key industry player while supporting clients like Ecopetrol in their mission to be the energy that transforms.
